Meaghan grew up in the Kootenays and during that time she led a very active lifestyle and was involved in highly competitive sports. This type of high athletic performance placed a constant maximal stress on her body. At a young age, Meaghan was exposed to massage therapy and the benefits that it could provide.
The support she received throughout her maintenance and recovery confirmed her passion in wanting to provide others with this health discipline. Meaghan is dedicated to helping others achieve their personal fitness and wellness goals.
Meaghan is interested in how the body heals innately; how it functions in the presence of various stressors, and how individuals subjectively view their own health. Recognizing that the body and mind work together to maintain balance, it is her intention with her practice to help remove any blocks that may compromise the system.
During her treatments, Meaghan uses various techniques depending on the needs and comfort levels of each patient. She believes in individualizing her treatments, as each patient presents and requires thought and care.
A graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, Meaghan feels very fortunate to be a massage therapist, and is committed to continuously growing and learning, through clinical experience and on-going education in her field.
When not practicing Meaghan can be found training at her local gym, spending time outside with her dogs hiking and exploring Vancouver Island, and spending time with her family and friends.
